There are few things that I would say equal Ray Lewis. But I’ve found one: the honey badger (a.k.a. the ratel). Surprised? Don’t be, College Humor and big lead sports have recently discussed the majesty of the honey badger. But they haven’t talked about an obvious angle in this story: the fact that the honey badger is the Ray Lewis of the animal kingdom. Let’s go to the tale of the tape to break it down:
|Height:||6’1”||10” tall 28” long|
|Weight:||250 lbs||30 pounds|
|Special Abilities:||Super speed; Upper body strength; Laser beam eyes; Virility||Surplus killing; Use of tools; Digging; Hilarious and informative Youtube videos|
|Favorite Food:||All types of seafood||Puff Adder|
|Career Highlights:||Super Bowl XXV MVP; 7x First Team All Pro; Six kids by four women.||Named most fearless animal in the world by Guinness; Taking lots of bee stings to the face; Not being an endangered species unlike other lesser beasts|
So there you have it, Ray Ray and the Honey Badger, inextricably linked in the hallowed halls of badass-dom. And while we’re on the subject, here’s my attempt at a photoshop tribute to my favorite badasses via WaCK’s “Mount Rushmore of Badasses.”
I can’t claim that this is the first take on the Mount Rushmore of Badasses, I found one on about.com here. Comic book characters? Grow up about.com.
